The city could resell the cyberware and then use the proceeds to fund maxtac

Great idea Thomas! I think the Maxtac -> kill cyberpsychos -> resell cyberware -> fund more Maxtac loop can be very profitable for Night City

Please run for city council so we can rid this city of cyberpsychos (who we all know come from pacifica) and return to the glorious city the late and great saburo would have wanted

I'll make sure Mayor Peralez fast-tracks your idea because it's hella nova and preem

The FPIC not being covered by insurance is the main issue here, those who can’t afford it would tend to be more at risk due to having less access to preventative medication. I estimate the savings from reduced cyberpsychosis incidents will outweigh the cost of FPIC anyways

That's exactly the beauty of it - those who need healthcare the most are oftentimes the one least able to afford it (without going into debt)! Night City's approach to healthcare is very profit-informed since unfettered free market capitalism is the best approach to public health

Oh that reminds me, since the cyberware from these individuals will be mostly recoverable, there could be attempts to remove it from those with irreversible cyberpsychosis, where it can then be recycled, or discreetly resold to the black market. Additionally, if removing the cyberware is clean and successful and the patient can recover fully, a loss in productivity can be avoided

Also this soulkiller technology could be used on prisoners on death row or with life sentences without parole, to be able to harvest their cyberware and reduce the costs of the prison system

Great suggestions! I will share this idea of recycling people (and their cybernetics) with Mayor Peralez.
